Additional Data Logging Tools

44 posts in this topic

If you're looking to help out with our data mining efforts even further then there's four new Decal plugins available that should be added to your lineup ASAP, courtesy of Mag-nus.

Mag-WorldObjectLogger: https://magtools.codeplex.com/releases/view/630362

Mag-LootLogger: https://magtools.codeplex.com/releases/view/82824

Mag-VendorLogger: https://magtools.codeplex.com/releases/view/630366

Mag-CombatLogger: https://magtools.codeplex.com/releases/view/630433

The best way to submit your logs is by creating a free Google Drive account. You can easily upload your logs there and then link to them here on our forums.

Thanks!

***** UPDATE *****

Miach has kindly provided a way for everyone to upload their log files with ease here: http://aka-steve.com/uploads/

Downloaded and installed. The format it puts out is nice. Going to be creating tons of files from this. Huge thanks to Mag-nus!

Hi guys. Where do you want the info uploaded ? I am already using my dropbox and google-drive and maybe it would be nice to have it all in one place ? Just a question more. I run theat menhir manafield quest both 10 and 15 points, and I was wondering if that packet tool loads itself by default when I start AC ? and where does it store the logged data ?

This is very helpful, it's exactly what we're looking for, thanks! You can also create throwaway emails and open more G-Drive's if you want to log more data. We wanted a central location to upload all these logs to but most of the solutions are too cost prohibitive. Opening personal G-Drive's and linking them to the forum is the best bet for now.

Alright so I saw a need and created a solution I hope. http://aka-steve.com/uploads/ Can someone test it out and report back errors. Try a smaller sized log and try something in that has been zip formatted. I am at work and can't actually test more than a text document.

Fixed a problem, now should be able to upload .zip and .csv. Any other file extensions just let me know. No .exe's though.

Files received successfully! Thanks for reporting back. Renamed your files so we know who uploaded and the date uploaded. Let's try and name the uploads like this: Miach- 01/17/2017-File-Name-Already-Created.zip or .rar or .csv Use your username and the current date so that files aren't over written by accident. BTW, txt, csv, zip, and rar are now accepted uploads. And uploaded files can be found here: http://aka-steve.com/ACEMU/

Perhaps you could modify the uploader script to append a timestamp to prevent accidents? In addition perhaps you could append charname and worldname based on text entered in the form as well?

There isn't a form, just a file selection box and a submit button so to speak. I do have it rename files in case of accidents but trying to make people aware as well. If a duplicate comes in it time stamps the file. So there shouldn't be any accidents.

Agreed. Tested quite a few times and it will not overwrite existing files. So the files are safe and the web server they are sitting on has unlimited space. So we should be good to go to get them all in one spot. Spread the word!

How close do I have to be for you to read the data of the area ? Does it have to be on the radar ? Can we have a map of areas covered ? Edited by InterimMadAxe_TD

A new Combat logging tool has just been added to the original post. Please add it to your list of data logging tools if possible, thanks!

Quick question. Since I know there are at least a few people helping add data, what data is the most needed? I'm guessing vendors are probably last on the priority list. Are there specific areas or mobs you guys need logged? I just want to make sure I'm not adding data that is already basically being covered.

So far towns are being covered rather well as well as the vendors. I would aim for gathering as much as you can with the separate islands. http://aka-steve.com/ACEMU/ has a list of what's been uploaded so far, with the ones named where they were we can assume those areas are covered. Hit rare or secret areas that were always low traffic.

Miach, can you please provide us the following things: A solution for those of us with very large data sets (I have 3.2GB) a way to upload our files. A solution for us to download the entire contents of the uploaded files. Perhaps this can wait 1-2 weeks after we've pushed everyone to upload their files, and we then distribute them via torrent.

Mag-nus Will send you a PM with details. I have an FTP site setup just for the developers. Will make sure all files are stored there and on a backup server I have.
